They work by reflecting the Radar beams back to the Radar. To ensure aviation safety, the rules and safety regulations in place by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) generally require the use of an in-flight radar reflector in the United States for larger high altitude balloon flights. This helps avoid collisions even in conditions of poor visibility, although, we recommend that you don’t fly at all in poor visibility. Radar Reflectors allow your boat to be seen more prominently by vessels with Radar units onboard. ![]()
